Do you know the title and author of this scary short story?

I read this as a child in an Alfred Hitchcock compilation book. I thought the name of the story was Enoch. Anyway, Enoch is the creepy thing that lives in the guy’s head scratching out his brain. It’s been driving me crazy forever. Anyone else remember this? The Hitchcock anthology books came out in the late 60’s and I read the story in the mid 70’s. Title and author would put my weary mind at rest. Thanks!
Alfred Hitchcock’s Monster Museum, . Supernatural Tales of Terror and Suspense, . Spellbinders in Suspense, Witch’s Brew, Ghostly Gallery, Alfred Hitchcock Presents Stories to be Read with the Door Locked, and Stories that Scared Even Me are some of the book titles, and I probably read them all. I’m pretty sure the Enoch story came from one of them.
