Are contact lenses scary?

I’m getting contact lenses but I think they’re a bit scary. I mean, you like INSERT THEM INTO YOUR EYE or something! I really wanna get out of my glasses but I’m not sure if I’m ready for contact lenses yet.

my brother has them and he said it’s a bit scary the first few times because your not use to opening your eye and inserting something in there. but once you get a hang of them, you’ll like them.
so scary at first from my bro’s experience!

They can be if one is afraid to stick something in ones eye, but he or she may become accustomed to it rather quickly.

    Not anymore.
They make them much better now. I have been wearing them for 10 years now. They are soft and feel like nothing is in your eye. Just make sure to keep them clean – some people clean them with spit – don’t do that. Eye infections are scary.

I think a lot of people really psych themselves up about wearing contacts and then find out that it really wasn’t a big deal at all. Try not to be afraid. You might be aware of the contacts at first (maybe for the first couple of days), but it shouldn’t be painful. Once your eyes adapt to them, you won’t be able to feel them at all. Someone at your doctor’s office will be there to teach you how to put them in and take them out properly. And you’ll probably go back to see your doctor a week or two after you’ve had the contacts. So if you have any problems or questions, you’ll be able to talk about them then. Just remember to follow your doctor’s instructions and also remember that you can never lose a contact behind your eye (it’s not physically possible). Good luck and enjoy your new contacts!
